Hello & Lovely to Meet You

Silverbark Studio is the brainchild of Egina Manachova. Born in the former Soviet Union and a long time resident of Philadelphia, Egina has over a decade of experience planning dynamic public programming at cultural institutions from small collective galleries to established museums. She has worked with internationally recognized visual artists, sculptors, writers and musicians to create bespoke spaces and manage lush experiences. She studied Art History and Film Studies at Bryn Mawr College for her BA and continued her education at NYU where she received an MA.

Egina has traveled widely and loves sourcing beautiful objects and finding talented artisans. She adores nothing more than finding hidden gems from her trips. From small independently run museums tucked away in cobblestone alleys to bookstores with elegant cats resting on piles of leather-bound texts, it’s the details that matter. Her favorite cities are Istanbul, Mexico City, New Orleans, and (not least by any means) Philly. Her experience in the visual arts and her love of travel have made Egina into a detail-oriented creative thinker and problem solver. She loves applying these skills to design and renovation planning.

A fundamental ethos of Egina’s design approach is that everyone deserves beauty, joy, and most importantly comfort in their daily spaces. She believes that inspiration can be found everywhere and that people generally know what they like aesthetically but don’t always know how to name it, find it, and apply it to their environment. This is where Egina loves to step in and help her client’s flourish.
